[ABOUT]
SEE
PAST
WHAT
YOU
KNOW®
PHILOSOPHY
You are not bound by age, by height, by gender or by where you grow up. You are only bound by believing what is not the truth.
We’re all born with a clear lens, in which we see ourselves and the world. As we experience life and hear what is said around us - how we see ourselves, our place in the world and how we see others becomes obstructed.
-
By living the philosophy See Past What You Know® this encourages you to see things as they truly are. This will allow you to live beyond self-imposed limitations and limitations built by others, revealing your true talents. To live a life that is most authentic to who you are, a life that was intended for you.
This will help you achieve beyond what you thought was possible — in sport, in the arts and in life.
COMMUNITY
GIVING BACK
It just takes one person, to impact one moment to positively shift the course of someone else’s life.
Giving back is part of this project’s purpose. Giving back is in our Founder’s DNA. We go through a very thoughtful process in creating the See Past What You Know® community initiatives.
-
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK
Our upcoming community initiative is a tribute to Brooklyn, New York, our way to say thank you. More details to come.
JAPAN
A community based initiative for the youth in Japan (elementary school and high school kids) will be created for inspiration and hope through sport and art. This is in response to the alarming increase of youth suicide in Japan.
-
Our focus will be to give what money can’t buy — our time and care, with the aim to make a meaningful difference.
Our Founder believes time is the most valuable resource, so we will give more of our time to help to inspire and provide more opportunities.
-
PARTNERS
At various times, we may team up with very specific existing non-profits who are doing work in areas that are aligned with our values.
We will communicate this to you — giving you the opportunity to choose what you’re most passionate about to support.
ABOUT
FOUNDER
-
[Em]ily [Me]dizaday [EM ME] was born in Melbourne, Australia, but has spent most of her adult life living elsewhere (Japan, Canada and in the United States).
Living in different countries and communities has strengthened her understanding and experience of the power and energy of human connection to inspire change.
-
Emily’s journey took a different path. She did not become a professional athlete that many predicted would be her path based on her multi-sport athletic abilities. Despite this, her deep connection to sport has not changed. She applies everything she has learnt through sport to all aspects of her life – including her creative work.
Her athletic background places her in a unique position to represent sports stories from an athletes perspective and connect these in artistic ways that aren’t typically seen in the arts world.
Her experiences in both sport and the arts have given her the belief that both these fields are sacred and offer something other fields don’t. A chance to unite, inspire and provide hope by expressing painful, joyous and profound experiences in a beautiful way. And showing us all that what is often believed to be impossible – is in fact possible.
-
From a non traditional artistic background, Emily graduated from Business school. Later studying design, philosophy and Entrepreneurship.
